This policy explains what data Crispi Recipes collects, why, and what your rights are. Last updated: 27 September 2026.
Data controller
The Crispi Recipes website is the controller of your data. For any question about it: [email protected].
Data we collect
- Browsing data (IP address, browser type, pages viewed), through the logs of our host and of our CDN Cloudflare, for security and to keep the website running properly.
- Audience measurement: we may use Google Analytics to see which pages are read, only after you have given your consent.
- Comments: if you leave a comment, your name, email address and IP address are stored for moderation and to fight spam. Your email address is never published.
- Recipe ratings: when you rate a recipe, a technical cookie remembers for one year that you have already voted, and a hash of your IP address (not the address itself) is kept for 24 hours to prevent duplicate votes. None of this data makes you identifiable in the published rating.
- The website does not ask you to create an account. If you email us, your message is kept for as long as needed to reply.
Advertising and affiliate links
Crispi Recipes is funded by display advertising and affiliate links. Our partners may set cookies to show ads and measure their performance:
- Google AdSense (Google Ireland Ltd.): ad delivery. Google may use cookies to personalise ads. See how Google uses data from partner sites.
- Actirise: advertising partner that may set cookies for ad delivery and measurement.
- Amazon Associates: Crispi Recipes takes part in the Amazon EU Associates Programme, an affiliate programme that pays a fee on purchases made through links to Amazon. These links may set a cookie to track the purchase. It costs you nothing extra.
Cookies and consent
Audience measurement and advertising cookies are only set after you consent, through our cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the cookie icon at the bottom of the page. Cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to work, including the one that remembers your choice, do not require consent.
Transfers outside the European Union
Some providers, such as Cloudflare and Google, may process data in the United States. These transfers rely on the safeguards provided by the GDPR, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, write to [email protected]. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, such as the French CNIL (www.cnil.fr) or the authority in your country of residence.
Retention
Technical logs are kept for a limited time for security purposes. Comments stay online as long as the article exists, unless you ask for them to be removed. The retention periods of advertising and affiliate cookies are set by each partner in its own privacy policy.
