Ninja Crispi

The portable format, with four modes for everyday cooking.

A removable heating unit, a glass container, a mode and a time: the Crispi keeps the controls simple. The key difference from the Pro models is on the control panel: you do not choose a temperature.

IS IT RIGHT FOR YOU?

What to know before you choose.

Worth a look if you want an appliance that is easy to put away and your cooking mostly revolves around Air Fry, Roast and crisping up leftovers. For baking with a precise setting, look at the Pro models instead.

What it offers

  • Removable PowerPod: the heating unit is stored separately from the containers.
  • The same container is used to cook, to serve and, with its lid, to store.
  • Four modes, with controls built around cooking time.

What to bear in mind

  • No manual temperature setting.
  • No Bake, Max Crisp, Prove or Dehydrate on the European versions.
  • What comes in the box differs between the FN101, FN103 and FN201.

What this means for your recipes

Choose a recipe that gives a mode and a time for the classic Crispi, along with the container size. An instruction such as “Air Fry at 180 °C” written for a Pro cannot be copied onto this appliance.

For a container bought separately, the official FAQ states that only items under reference XSKLDPLCNTEUUK fit both the Crispi and the Crispi Pro. DualZone containers do not fit the Crispi. The glass is freezer, microwave and dishwasher safe, but never goes in the oven, on a hob or under a grill. Check the full reference before buying an extra container.

EVERYDAY USE

Getting the best from it

  • On the FN101 and FN103, the adapter is required with the 3.8 L container and must not be used with the 1.4 L. The “LID” message means the PowerPod or the adapter is not seated correctly.
  • Preheating is never required. The guide recommends 5 minutes before roasts and steaks, and with the crisper plate to reheat a slice of pizza, quiche or tart in Recrisp, for a crisp base.
  • To pause, lift the PowerPod off. To resume, put it back and press START.
  • On Recrisp with several foods, what only needs heating goes under the crisper plate, and what needs to crisp goes on top.
  • No baking paper in the containers: the Quick Start Guide rules it out.
  • Avoid thermal shocks: no liquid or cold food in a hot container, or the other way round. Do not put the lid on straight after cooking.
  • Leave 15 cm of space around the appliance and above the vent during cooking.

Frequently asked questions

Can you set the temperature on the Ninja Crispi?

No, not on the basic European versions. You choose the mode and the time; the appliance manages the heat. A temperature given in a recipe for the Crispi Pro is therefore not a setting to look for on your Crispi.

Do the FN101 and FN201 have the same modes?

Yes: Air Fry, Roast, Recrisp and Keep Warm. The container sets differ: 3.8 L + 1.4 L for the FN101, 3.8 L + 2.3 L for the FN201.

Can the Crispi replace an oven for cakes?

It has neither a Bake mode nor a temperature setting. A cake recipe written for a Pro does not transfer reliably to the classic Crispi.

Do DualZone containers fit?

No. DualZone containers are specific to that range. For containers shared with the Pro models, check the accessory’s reference and its compatibility list.
