Ninja Crispi DualZone

Two separate cooking zones, one meal ready together.

The DD102 combines two independent zones, each with a 3.8 L container. Its strength is cooking two parts of a meal with different settings, then synchronising when they finish.

IS IT RIGHT FOR YOU?

What to know before you choose.

Worth a look for cooking a main and its side at the same time. The stated 7.6 L is split between two containers: you do not get a single container of that volume.

What it offers

  • Two independent zones to keep foods separate.
  • Smart Finish synchronises the end of two different cooking cycles.
  • Eight modes, including Dehydrate, Proof and Keep Warm.

What to bear in mind

  • Air Fry tops out at 200 °C, compared with 240 °C on the Pro AS101 and AS090.
  • Max Crisp works in one zone at a time.
  • The containers are not interchangeable with those of the Crispi and Crispi Pro.

What this means for your recipes

Smart Finish lets two cooking cycles with different settings finish together. Match Cook copies the first zone’s settings to the second, except on Max Crisp. When both zones are running, power is shared and cooking may take longer: a time measured with one zone does not guarantee the same result with two.

Containers and accessories

The DualZone comes with two 3.8 L containers, two crisper plates and two lids. These containers are specific to the DualZone: having the same volume as another Crispi’s 3.8 L container does not mean they fit the same appliance. Allow space for a station about 42.42 cm wide.

SharkNinja does not publish a quantity chart for the DualZone.

EVERYDAY USE

Getting the best from it

  • With Smart Finish, the zone with the shorter cook time shows HOLD while it waits its turn. Smart Finish and Match Cook cannot be combined.
  • Keep Warm keeps food warm but does not reheat a cold dish: use Recrisp for that.
  • +1 Min adds 60 seconds, except on Proof, Dehydrate and Keep Warm. FLIP reminds you to turn food, except on Roast and Dehydrate.
  • Do not boil water in the containers.
  • Baking paper is allowed in the containers, according to the manufacturer’s FAQ.
  • Plug the appliance directly into a wall socket, without an extension lead.

Frequently asked questions

Is the 7.6 L a single large container?

No, it is two separate 3.8 L containers. The Pro AS101 offers a single 5.7 L container for a larger dish.

Can you run Max Crisp in both zones?

No. Max Crisp at 240 °C is limited to one zone at a time and does not support Match Cook.

What is the difference between Smart Finish and Match Cook?

Smart Finish synchronises the end of two different settings. Match Cook copies the settings from zone 1 to zone 2. They are two different ways of organising your cooking.

Does an Air Fry recipe at 220 °C work?

Not directly: Air Fry is limited to 200 °C on the DD102. Switching to Max Crisp changes the mode and fixes the temperature at 240 °C; it is not an automatic substitute.
